Local Biotech President to Speak at July Alumni Lunch

All Sigma Chi Alumni living in or visiting San Diego are welcome to join us for our 2009 July luncheon featuring Alfredo Paredes, president of San Diego biotech company ADER Enterprises. ADER Enterprises, Inc. is a developer, manufacturer and distributor of high-quality, ophthalmic nutraceutical products worldwide headquartered in San Diego.

AderLogo In 2003, Brother Alfredo Paredes (Alpha Upsilon, 1984) co-founded ADER Enterprises, Inc. As president of the organization he is tasked with not only ensuring the company's viability and success, but making certain innovative products continue to be developed and successfully brought to market. ADER's flagship product is an eye drop that helps reduce most cataracts without surgery. After nearly a five-year process, ADER is expecting its U.S. patent in Q2 of 2009.

Alfredo graduated from the University of Southern California in 1984 with a degree in Finance. After six years of working in the commercial lending field with Security Pacific Bank and Citicorp in San Diego, he returned home to Santa Barbara, executing a career change to outsource medical device manufacturing in the area of sales and marketing. He worked for 18 years collaborating on numerous medical device projects with the likes of Alcon, Baxter, Boston Scientific, Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic, and Tyco Healthcare to name a few.
