A wonderful Significant Sig has passed away. Jim Schmidt left this world early Saturday morning with his wonderful wife Jerrie and his family at his side. A Celebration of Life is being planned for Jim on Wednesday, January 31th at 3:00 pm at the Hall of Champions in Balboa Park.
Jim was a public policy icon in San Diego for two generations, was instrumental in establishing the Holiday Bowl and Hall of Champions, and was a former member of the Governor of California's Cabinet. Jim was 85. He will be sorely missed by all those whose lives he enriched.
