Season’s greetings and best wishes from the young men of Iota Chi! As I am sure you are aware, the new tax plan starting in the new year makes it difficult for many people to get an itemized deduction for charitable contributions. With just a few days until the new year, there’s no better time to donate to Iota Chi’s Derby Days for Spring 2018!

For those of you gentlemen who were considering contributing to Derby Days anyways, maximize your investment with a win-win for both the Huntsman Cancer Institute and your charitable deduction! For those who are on the fence about donating, there’s never been a better time to get involved; every guy makes a difference, and cashing in on the tax write-off makes it easier!

Every contribution helps, but of course the bigger the donation, the bigger the deduction. The more you help us, the more you help yourself! It is with your help that we, together, can carry Iota Chi to the top of the national donations by Sigma Chi chapters nationwide and reach our goal of $50k for this Derby Days!

If you're on board, here's the link to Iota Chi's donation page on the Huntsman Cancer Institute website (currently says 2017, this will be updated by the Institute's website when the year turns over. Our campaign is for 2018):

For reference, here’s an article outlining some of the details and implications of the new tax plan (see the “Make large charitable donations” section): https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/07/your-money/tax-overhaul-wealth.html

Thank you, worthy gentlemen, for your consideration and contributions thus far. Best wishes for the new year from all of us at Iota Chi!
