Zoom Conference: State of Greek life, Sigma Chi and Campuses

Executive Director and President of Sigma Chi Corporation, Mike Church, shares his insights into how Sigma Chi is responding to COVID-19.

Mike will provide a high-level overview of the Sigma Chi's various responses and preparation strategies related to COVID-19 and returning to normal.

Included in that will be touch points on what Sigma Chi is seeing and hearing from the higher education landscape plus the effects and modifications to fraternity life on campuses. This will be a high-level overview, leaving ample time for questions, answers and discussions.

In addition, as time permits and we feel that we have handled the near-term issues around COVID, Mike will be prepared to discuss Sigma Chi’s efforts on our learning/leadership initiatives and how that will differentiate us going forward into the near and long-terms.

Mike Church

Executive Director, Sigma Chi Fraternity

Mike joined the International Fraternity Headquarters staff in July 2005, assuming the role of executive director in January 2014. Mike‘s dream to make Sigma Chi available to every member, every day, led to the eventual adoption of Sigma Chi U, P4B, and the lifelong learning continuum (now in development) as essential components of the strategy to getting there. He is a lifelong student of the Ritual and the Fraternity’s history, heritage, and purposes, and was named a member of the inaugural class of Ritual Masters in 2012. Mike is a proud Chicagoan whose hobbies include running, refining his ability to harness the power of words through reading and writing, and spending time with his family, his sweetheart Blair and their daughter Adaline. As executive director, Mike is the president of the Sigma Chi Corporation and the chief operating officer and chief of staff for the Sigma Chi International Fraternity. His primary responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of the directives and direction set by the Executive Committee as part of the strategic plan, and managing the personnel and activities of the Headquarters staff. He is also tasked, in conjunction with the Grand Quaestor and the controller, with managing the Fraternity’s budget and financial activities.
