Join us Friday April 12 our Sigma Chi chapter lunch and hear Brother Mike Ebbing.

Originally from Galesburg, Illinois, University of Iowa, Alpha Eta chapter, "Ebb" served as an Army Specialist 5 in the White House Communication Agency (WHCA). The position was considered Top Secret and required an FBI background check and security clearance.

His primary duties were as switchboard operator for ‘round the clock’ communications wherever the president goes. A hidden location at Camp David was home for managing president visits and white house telephone calls.

In his nearly three years with President Nixon (70-72), Ebb traveled and worked the switchboard as a mobile White House. These included trips to Alaska, Canada, Ohio, Paris, the Florida White House and the Western White House in addition to China and Russia.

Come and hear more of his dealing with the famous and important people he spoke with, his Sigma Chi days at the University of Iowa including Derby Days in the 1960’s, as well as working with President Nixon, and the California Presidential Libraries for Presidents Nixon and Reagan.
