Political Maven Brother Ben Clay to Speak to SD Sigs

All Sigma Chi Alumni living in or visiting San Diego are welcome to join us for our 2009 October luncheon featuring brother Ben Clay, recognized expert on the California political landscape.

Ben G. Clay has more than 35 years experience working with public agencies, private companies, and not-for-profit organizations. He specializes in legislative and administrative strategy and advocacy at the State of California. At his firm Carpi & Clay, he is the key strategist on issues of statewide importance and has earned the respect of his clients and peers for his keen political acumen.

Prior to establishing Carpi & Clay, Ben had years of local government experience at both the City and County of San Diego. He was the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for the County of San Diego, and his responsibilities included development of the County legislative priorities at the State and Federal levels. Ben’s experience also includes work with a private development firm, where he was charged with development of a convention center and several waterfront hotels in San Diego.

Ben is a Delta Xi Sigma Chi and accordingly has a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University.
